It is the biggest day of your life and both of you have envisioned it perfectly, but once you sit down to discuss the big day before meeting with your planner you realize that both of you have visions that don’t match on any level. So the question is how to resolve this issue without having the other person’s vision not appear anywhere within the day. Here are some tips on how to resolve combining your visions so that you are both happy on your wedding day:
1. Decide which aspects of the wedding are most important to both of you; venue, food and drink, colours etc.
2. Be supportive of each other’s visions; don’t degrade the other person’s vision it is just as much their day as it is yours.
3. Layout your visions to see where you can compromise on different aspects.
4. If you don’t agree with parts of the vision speak up early, before you begin planning; once you begin planning you cannot hold any resentment or disagree once you start planning.
These four simple steps will help you in ensuring that you stay on track and that the vision of your wedding day is what you both expect it to be. A wedding is not about just one person it is about to people who have decided to spend their lives together, that is most important thing to keep in mind as you plan your wedding.
Until next time happy planning.
Your vision, your experience.
